  • Skilled nursing and Rehabilitation We are seeking a Registered Nurse with leadership skills to work as a Director of Nursing (DON) for a leading provider of Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation and Long-Term care.

The role will be responsible for the overall management of clinical care for residents within a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Hoke County, NC. The company which operate the facility have over 60 facilities in their portfolio, spanning 6 states and offer rare stability in the LTC market via their ownership of the buildings, ancillary services and leading on the operations of their own facilities. Relevant experience

  • Extensive knowledge of local, state and federal regulations governing the delivery of healthcare services.
  • Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Understanding of age-specific developmental factors in adults and geriatrics
  • Experience caring for residents with the following healthcare needs: Therapeutic, Neuro and Dementia, Dialysis, IV therapy, Infectious disease and wound care.
  • Ability to work under the direction of a Licensed Administrator to deliver care to residents in line with company policy.
  • Working with the Administrator to hire, train and develop nursing and care staff.
  • Development of nurses to enhance their clinical knowledge and ability to deliver top class care to residents.
  • Understanding of current Health Department Directives and ability to relay these to staff.

Responsibilities Oversee nursing staff and ensure adherence to best practices in patient care and nursing administration. Manage daily operations of the nursing department, including scheduling and staff training. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records using EHR systems. Advocate for residents’ rights and provide guidance on geriatric care standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes in various settings.
