This role is primarily responsible for supervising the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with current state and federal regulations along with the Director of Nursing. Additional duties include care plans, resident care, infection control and supervisory responsibilities. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong interpersonal and leadership skills and be knowledgeable on general nursing principles and state and federal health regulations.
