Ensures nursing standards, practices, policies, and procedures, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulatory and accreditation requirements are consistent with current research findings and national professional standards
Actively engage with the hospital’s governing body, senior leadership, medical staff, management, and other clinical leaders, contributing to key decision-making processes to shape the hospital’s strategic direction
Oversees the Infection Control Plan, understand the Infection Control Monitors and the JC Standards associated with Infection Control
Develops, directs, implements nursing policies and procedures, nursing standards, and a nurse staffing plan
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree-required
Master’s degree in nursing, business or another appropriate postgraduate health science degree is preferred
3+ years of psychiatric/mental health nursing
Certified psychiatric-mental health nurse (PMH-BC) required or achieved within 1 year of employment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
