Clinical Pharmacy Specialist /Pharmacy Residency Program DirectorJob Summary Maintains ultimate responsibility for resident training, supervision, formal evaluation and program policies and procedures. Maintains compliance with all ASHP accreditation regulations regarding residency programs, including documentation and reporting requirements Fosters positive relationships with other healthcare professionals within the practice setting. Evaluates potential resident applicants, selecting the most qualified candidates. Oversees the ongoing assessment of resident performance throughout the program Designs the residency curriculum, including rotations, learning objectives, and educational experiences, ensuring it aligns with ASHP standards and meets the needs of the practice setting. Manages preceptor development, providing training to effectively guide and evaluate residents during rotations. Provides guidance and support to residents throughout their residency, promoting their professional growth and development. Monitors and evaluates the residency program’s effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance resident learning. Performs duties outlined in the role of clinical pharmacy specialist. Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Training:

RPD must meet qualifications outlined in ASHP Regulations on

Accreditation of Pharmacy ResidenciesEducation:

PharmD Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy, required Current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy OR eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of South Carolina, required. Licensure required within 3 months of hire.,
