Job Summary Go2 Logistics is seeking an experienced Director of Warehouse Operations to lead and oversee the company's warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective handling of freight. This position is responsible for establishing operational standards, developing warehouse leadership, driving productivity, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety requirements. The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership to warehouse management teams, identify opportunities for process improvement, and work closely with senior leadership and other departments to support overall business objectives. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight of warehouse operations across assigned facilities. Establish and maintain consistent operational standards, procedures, and performance expectations. Lead, coach, and develop Warehouse Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and warehouse teams. Oversee staffing, scheduling, workforce planning, and organizational structure to meet operational needs. Monitor warehouse productivity, service levels, labor costs, and other key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed. Develop and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, workflow, quality, and overall warehouse performance. Oversee freight handling, loading, unloading, staging, and storage operations to ensure accuracy and timely movement. Maintain inventory accuracy and establish effective inventory control and loss-prevention procedures. Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable warehouse and material-handling regulations. Oversee safety programs, equipment inspections, incident reporting, and corrective actions across warehouse operations. Partner with HR on employee relations, performance management, staffing, training, and policy compliance. Establish and maintain training programs for warehouse employees and leadership. Oversee warehouse equipment, facility needs, maintenance, and operational readiness. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service, safety, and quality standards. Analyze operational data and prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership . Collaborate with Transportation, Dispatch, Operations, Finance, HR, and other departments to improve overall supply chain and freight operations. Ensure warehouse facilities are maintained in a clean, organized, secure, and professional condition. Lead operational planning and support the opening, expansion, relocation, or restructuring of warehouse facilities as needed. Address operational issues and develop timely solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain service levels. Perform other operational, leadership, or strategic duties as assigned by senior management. Qualifications 7+ years of progressive warehouse, distribution, freight, or logistics experience. 3+ years of management or multi-level leadership experience preferred. Experience managing warehouse operations across multiple departments or locations preferred. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, freight handling, inventory control, and material-handling practices. Experience with warehouse management systems, transportation systems, and operational reporting. Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and warehouse safety standards. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, labor costs, productivity, and operational KPIs. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to develop leaders and build high-performing teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and locations. Ability to analyze data and use performance metrics to drive operational decisions. Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment and adapt to changing business needs. Physical and Mental Demands This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving freight. The employee must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. The role requires attention to detail, mental focus, and the ability to manage changing operational priorities. Work Environment The Warehouse Supervisor works primarily in a warehouse and dock environment and may be exposed to moving equipment, freight, loading docks, trucks, varying temperatures, and other conditions common to transportation and warehouse operations.
