A long-standing commercial mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Pipefitter Foreman to lead field teams across a variety of commercial environments. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing mechanical installations, HVAC piping, plumbing systems, equipment setting, welding, troubleshooting, and maintenance work—not limited solely to construction sites. The ideal candidate has a strong mix of commercial HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing experience, along with proven leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate field crews performing mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing installations
Perform and oversee pipefitting, equipment setting, and various mechanical system builds
Conduct or coordinate welding tasks as required (stick/MIG/TIG depending on project)
Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications
Install, repair, and maintain commercial mechanical and HVAC systems in both construction and non-construction settings
Troubleshoot complex piping, mechanical, and equipment issues
Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with applicable codes
Track project progress, document work performed, and communicate status to supervisors
Train, guide, and mentor junior mechanics and apprentices Requirements
5-7+ years of commercial mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing experience
Proven experience as a foreman or lead fitter
Strong background in pipefitting and welding
Ability to read mechanical drawings, HVAC layouts, and piping schematics
Familiarity with commercial mechanical systems (pumps, boilers, chillers, RTUs, piping systems, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and jobsite coordination skills
Reliable transportation and standard tools
Relevant certifications (welding, OSHA, HVAC/plumbing licenses) are a plus What You Can Expect
