Job Description

A well-established nonprofit organization in NYC is hiring a Payroll Accountant for a newly created role due to continued growth. This is a remote position with occasional in-office visits (4-5 times per year) to NYC offices as needed.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain the Labor Distribution Report (LDR), ensuring labor allocation accuracy Reconcile the LDR against the general ledger and HRIS system records Advise operations staff on processing staff allocation changes to ensure accurate, timely updates Support the payroll team with bi-weekly exception analysis Maintain journal entries for labor allocation changes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience with hands-on account analysis Advanced Excel proficiency Strong interpersonal and time-management skills Nonprofit accounting experience required
