Mt. Shasta Ski Park is seeking friendly, organized, and customer-focused individuals to join our Ski & Ride School team as Cashiers. This role is responsible for processing lesson sales, assisting guests with program information, and supporting Ski & Ride School operations. Cashiers play a key role in helping guests—especially new skiers and riders—have a smooth and positive start to their mountain experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist guests with Ski & Ride School lesson purchases and inquiries. Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently. Provide clear information about lesson types, schedules, pricing, and availability. Assist parents and families in signing up children for lessons and verifying required waivers. Handle cash, credit card, and voucher transactions while maintaining accurate end-of-day totals. Coordinate with instructors and supervisors to ensure smooth check-in and guest flow. Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional Ski School front desk area. Answer guest questions about mountain operations, meeting locations, and lesson logistics. Support administrative tasks such as printing rosters, updating lesson boards, and preparing paperwork. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service and communication skills. Cash handling and POS experience preferred. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Friendly, patient, and able to communicate with guests of all ages. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Comfortable working indoors with occasional outdoor interaction in winter conditions. Previous experience in guest service, childcare check-in, or hospitality a plus (training provided).

Compensation & Schedule:

Pay rate: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience. Seasonal position with both full-time and part-time shifts. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
