FULL-TIME VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

•Santa Rosa Veterinary Clinic is a growing 4 doctor practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position, located in Milton, Florida. We are located a short distance away from both Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach. The position requires a highly motivated person with great organizational skills, compassion for our patients and clients, self motivated, team player, and great communication with fellow staff members. Proficiency in Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, web search and other skills needed to effectively help our clients and patients is helpful. Experience with our practice management software, AVimark, highly preferred. Most of all great customer service skills and team oriented . Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred Assist veterinarians with physical examinations and procedures Proficient in patient care, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory testing, radiology, administering vaccines, client education Administer medications, fluids, anesthetics, analgesics, and blood products as directed by veterinarians Hospitalized and post-op patient monitoring Bandage application/removal, suture removal, ear cleaning, nail trimming, anal gland expression Decipher vaccination history and preventive care needs for all pets Maintain veterinary medical records for pets coming in for daily appointments, including scribing for the veterinarians when needed.
