Hiring Melt Tech-Gilmer Area Responsibilities:
Work with plant metallurgist to prepare molten metal charges weigh out alloys and different types of scrap metals to charge into melting furnace
work on the melt deck charging and sampling molten metal for analysis
operate coreless induction power supply and corresponding pumps and cooling systems
use overhead crane to charge as well as pour off heats
repair and refurbish refractory in melting furnace as well as pouring ladles
Qualifications:
- conduct oneself in a safe and professional manner
- understanding of the challenges of a molten metal environment
- good math skills for charge calculations
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet production targets.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
