Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Office Manager/Biller to lead our healthcare practice's administrative and financial operations. This pivotal role combines medical office management with billing expertise, ensuring seamless clinic workflows, compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimal financial performance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical billing, office supervision, and healthcare management, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of electronic health records (EHR) systems, medical terminology, and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and JCAHO. This energetic professional will drive efficiency, foster excellent patient service, and support the overall success of our healthcare practice. Responsibilities Oversee daily clinic operations, including staff supervision, patient management, and administrative workflows to ensure smooth functioning. Manage medical billing processes using systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or similar EMR/EHR platforms; ensure accurate coding and timely submission of claims. Supervise billing staff and administrative team members, providing guidance on medical administrative support, customer service excellence, and compliance with healthcare policies. Maintain strict adherence to healthcare regulations including HIPAA privacy standards and JCAHO accreditation requirements. Coordinate human resources functions such as staffing schedules, performance evaluations, training programs, and staff development initiatives. Monitor financial management activities including budgeting, revenue cycle management, accounts receivable/payable processing, and financial reporting. Ensure accurate maintenance of medical records and electronic health records (EHR), including documentation of patient encounters and medical terminology. Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize practice management strategies related to managed care, utilization management, and hospital or acute care experience. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery while maintaining compliance with health regulation policies. Experience Proven experience in medical office management with a strong background in healthcare practice operations. Extensive knowledge of medical billing procedures and familiarity with billing software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or similar is essential. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare teams within a clinical setting. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA privacy rules, JCAHO standards, and managed care policies. Prior experience in dental or medical office environments with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes. Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle optimization. Excellent managerial communication skills paired with a customer service-oriented approach to patient interactions. Knowledge of nursing or acute care settings is a plus; familiarity with hospital or healthcare facility operations is highly desirable. $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
