Position Summary The Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for American Job Center customers and visitors. The position provides professional reception, check in support, service information, customer flow assistance, and direction to the appropriate partner or resource. Essential Duties Greet and welcome customers and visitors promptly, professionally, and respectfully. Support sign in, check in, intake, and basic customer flow procedures. Determine the general purpose of a customer's visit and direct the customer appropriately. Provide accurate information about center services, hours, workshops, events, and next steps. Respond to telephone, email, and in person inquiries. Maintain front desk schedules, calendars, signage, service directories, and customer materials. Support the Virtual Greeter kiosk and approved visitor management systems. Monitor lobby and waiting areas and obtain additional assistance when required. Follow confidentiality, safety, accessibility, escalation, and emergency procedures. Support opening, closing, key control, and facility readiness activities when assigned. Document customer flow issues, complaints, and referrals as required. Maintain reliable attendance and continuous coverage during assigned operating hours. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant coursework preferred. At least two years of experience in front desk operations, customer service, administrative support, call center support, workforce services, or public facing services preferred. Basic proficiency with computers, email, calendars, office equipment, kiosks, and standard office applications. Ability to communicate clearly using plain language and work respectfully with diverse customers. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and organized in a high traffic environment. Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
