You'll work closely with students, educators, and staff to ensure effective communication and equal access to learning.

Key Qualifications:

Certified proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, with strong knowledge of ASL Previous experience in a school or classroom environment is highly valued Bilingual skills are preferred to facilitate communication in multilingual settings Ability to interpret with accuracy and cultural sensitivity for students, teachers, and families Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and integrity

What Youll Do:

Interpret classroom lessons, activities, and events, enabling full participation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students Support teachers and staff with effective communication strategies Foster an inclusive atmosphere for learners of all backgrounds Assist in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed Maintain clear documentation and follow district policies and interpreter guidelines Collaborate with educational teams to best support students needs
