We're hiring a Contractor Sales Manager based in our Mantua, Ohio office to own inside sales for our Certified Installer network and bidding contractor base. You'll report directly to our North American Sales Director. This is contractor-facing inside sales with real estimating support attached. Your job is to move BASWA projects through the pipeline from installer inquiry to closed order — over the phone, over email, and in our CRM. You'll also run color-coded takeoffs in On-Screen Takeoff on active projects, applying real product knowledge.

Your day-to-day:

Serve as the primary contact for Certified Installers and bidding contractors — answer questions, chase down technical info, keep projects moving. Manage assigned projects through our CRM stages toward \"closed.\" Meaningful notes, disciplined follow-up tasks, no memory-based tracking. Complete takeoffs in On-Screen Takeoff on active projects, accounting for the full product build so contractor quotes and material orders reflect what the job actually needs. Assemble and send submittals, technical documentation, and substitution requests. Assist contractors in developing accurate material orders, quotes, and internal processing. Negotiate final terms of sale with support from the Sales Director; manage order processing in accounting system. Collaborate transparently with the sales team, technical team, and warehouse. Identify and qualify new target contractors and installers.

Organized to a fault. You know where every project sits, what the next step is, and when the next follow-up is due because it's in the CRM. A closer who works it until it's dead or closed. You know the difference between a project that needs one more nudge and a project that's not going to happen, and you don't let the live ones slip. Commission is uncapped and tied to what you close. Excellent on the phone and in email. Installers and contractors like working with you. You answer fast, you're clear, and you don't disappear on people. Integrity-based. You don't over-promise on lead times, budget, or performance to close a conversation. You know the edges of your knowledge. Curious about the product. You want to become a real expert on BASWA's parts, pieces, and constructability. Comfortable owning takeoffs. On-Screen Takeoff is a tool you already know. A team player. Small team means everyone touches everything. You bring people in, you share what you learn.

Your background:

5+ years in the AEC industry — building products, specialty finishes, commercial construction, or similar. Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff is required. Demonstrated inside sales or contractor-facing sales experience, with a real track record of moving projects to close. Strong CRM discipline in any modern tool. Understanding of commercial construction timelines, the bid process, and the submittal workflow. Based in Northeast Ohio. This is an in-office role in Mantua.

Bonus:

experience with specialty finishes, acoustical products, ceilings, wall systems, or similar architect-and-contractor-facing categories.

Not a fit:

primarily field sales, primarily architect-facing specification sales (that's a different role on our team), or short-cycle commodity building products.

What year one looks like:

Success is measured on the health of the Certified Installer relationships, the quality and timeliness of your takeoffs and quotes, CRM hygiene on your pipeline, and closed orders across your assigned projects. You'll work closely with the Sales Director and the sales team on a shared pipeline. BASWA is a small, powerful team. Your ideas and opinions are welcome and expected. Although our sales team needs to be there at crunch-time, we value work/life balance.
