Pest Control Field Service Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Pest Control Field Service Manager to help lead and support our field service team. This is a hands-on management position for someone who understands pest control operations, enjoys developing technicians, and knows how to solve difficult pest issues while maintaining high standards for customer service, safety, equipment, and fleet operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is comfortable spending time both managing field operations and working alongside technicians when necessary. Key Responsibilities Train and develop pest control technicians in the field , including proper service techniques, pest identification, chemical application, safety procedures, customer service, and company standards. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to field technicians. Assist management with daily and weekly route scheduling to ensure routes are properly staffed and customers are serviced on time. Help manage route coverage when technicians call out or additional field support is needed. Run pest control routes when necessary due to call-offs, vacations, scheduling issues, or unexpected staffing needs. Assist technicians with difficult or problem accounts , including inspecting properties, identifying pest pressures, developing treatment strategies, and following up to ensure issues are resolved. Conduct regular field ride-alongs and technician quality-control inspections. Perform monthly customer service audits to verify service quality, documentation, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company standards. Manage and maintain accurate records of chemical check-outs and chemical inventory used by field technicians. Monitor proper pesticide handling, storage, application, and documentation. Perform regular company vehicle and truck inspections to ensure vehicles are clean, properly stocked, safe, and maintained according to company standards. Inspect and maintain pest-control equipment. Troubleshoot and repair sprayers, pumps, backpack units, application equipment, and other field equipment when possible. Ensure technicians have the tools, chemicals, PPE, and equipment necessary to properly complete their routes. Help investigate customer complaints, callbacks, and service issues and develop corrective action when necessary. Reinforce company safety policies and proper pesticide-use procedures. Work closely with branch management to improve technician productivity, route efficiency, service quality, and customer retention. Assist with technician accountability and overall field-service performance. Qualifications Current California Branch 2 and Branch 3 Field Representative or Operator license required. Strong working knowledge of general pest control, termite/wood-destroying organisms, pesticides, application equipment, pest identification, and treatment methods. Previous pest-control field experience required. Previous supervisory, lead technician, route manager, or field management experience strongly preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to train and coach employees effectively. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic repairs on pest-control equipment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple technicians, routes, customer issues, and priorities. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability and willingness to work in the field and run routes when operationally necessary. Dependable, professional, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Compensation Annual Salary:
$72,384 In addition to base salary, the Field Service Manager will have the opportunity to earn quarterly performance bonuses totaling up to $4,000 annually , based on established performance goals.
Total potential annual compensation:
