Service Advisor Position Summary The Service Advisor manages daily operations of a semi-truck and trailer repair shop . The position requires a good understanding of the trucking industry, commercial trucks, trailers, parts, maintenance, and DOT requirements . Main Responsibilities Schedule semi-truck and trailer repairs, maintenance, and DOT inspections. Create and manage repair/work orders. Coordinate daily work with diesel and trailer mechanics. Communicate with drivers, fleet customers, and outside customers. Prepare repair estimates and customer invoices. Order truck and trailer parts and work with vendors. Manage parts and shop inventory. Track parts received, used, returned, and in stock. Follow up on repairs and keep customers updated. Make sure labor, parts, and services are properly documented and invoiced. Maintain organized repair records, pictures, and documentation. Search for and recruit qualified diesel and trailer mechanics. Help organize the daily shop schedule and workload. Requirements Good understanding of the trucking industry . Knowledge of semi-trucks, diesel equipment, and commercial trailers . Understanding of truck and trailer maintenance and repair terminology. Familiarity with DOT inspections and commercial vehicle requirements. CDL Class A is preferred, but not required. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Experience with scheduling, invoicing, parts ordering, and inventory is preferred. Organized, responsible, and able to multitask in a busy repair shop.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 per week
