Job Description

Position Title:
Laser and Cosmetics Assistant Reports To:
Lead Cosmetics RN and/or
Office Manager FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Summary:
Supports the functions of the back office for cosmetic providers. Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to the following) : Assist Provider (RN/NP/PA) with rooming clients, and prepping them for procedures Sterilize instruments, clean, sterilize and re-pack instruments as needed. Maintain clean exam rooms at all times and ensure rooms are stocked with necessary supplies. Wash and fold laundry. Performs routine clerical and administrative support. Assist the front office staff with patient questions or other tasks. Obtain informed consent prior to any procedures. Provide patient education regarding cosmetics procedures and any pertinent diagnosis and/or treatment. Schedule cosmetic appointments. Greet patients in a professional and tactful manner Photograph and upload patient pictures into electronic chart. Manage and track consumables and product inventory. Prep charts in advance.
Conducts:
topical numbing application and other related procedures. Attend Meetings as required. Regular and reliable attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Education, Licensure and/or Certifications High School diploma Experience Minimum 1 year experience in Medical Office or Aesthetics Medical Assistant experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of medical and/or medical office procedures required Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation for general correspondence. Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures and make any changes accurately. Ability to use electronic health record and basic Microsoft Office applications, preferred but not required Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to speak clearly and effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
Physical Demands:

Requires work at a computer while standing or sitting (30 - 80% of the day). Requires some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Ability to lift supply boxes and laundry baskets - max 50lbs. Ability to pull/push supply cart as needed to restock rooms. Ability to pull/push laser equipment, patient chairs as needed.

Exposure to Medical Aesthetic devices/lasers that will require protective eye wear, and some exposure to potentially hazardous plume, personal protection equipment provided.
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
